HTG has been steering a prosperous course for over 40 years. The company’s activities commenced back in 1970, when Kamstra Shipstores started supplying duty free items to small vessels sailing the North Sea.
Over time, the company expanded with more activities, more markets, and more companies being added to the group by targeted and selected mergers and acquisitions.
In 2007 we combined all our activities into one clear structure we named HTG, which resulted in improved internal synergy and a strong image.
In our current structure, we are a leading partner in Liquors and Health & Beauty products taking a leading role in the global distribution of A-branded products from both bulk and single line orders. In more than 43 years of doing business, we have distinguished ourselves in terms of reliability and efficiency, and established a track record which funds our trustworthiness.
HTG is a leading international distributor (b2b) of Liquors and Health & Beauty products serving the following channels:
We offer an assortment of A-brands and private labels. With its global network of subsidiaries and a network of strategically located warehouses around the world, HTG offers added value to both its suppliers and its customers. Through a concept of source, serve and supply HTG sources products internationally at highly competitive prices. Making use of our fully automated and AEO certified warehouses these products are stored in perfect conditions in a reliable and cost efficient manner. These products can then be delivered internationally in varying order sizes and frequencies giving our customers the most efficient and flexible access to luxury branded products at highly competitive prices.
Our brand portfolio is divided into two divisions
Liquors
Health and Beauty
Within these two divisions we are currently active in liquors, perfumes, cosmetics, toiletries, professional haircare and medical disposables, we are however constantly exploring new ways to add to our branded portfolio to ensure fulfillment of current and future customer demands. Besides expanding our product portfolio HTG is also constantly looking for opportunities in new market and new business models ensuring that we will remain leading in adding value to our global branded luxury portfolio.
We believe our company’s infrastructure is fully equipped to meet our long-term ambitions of growth, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Our infrastructure is based on continuous innovation and keen investments together with the implementation of stringent efficiency programs, smart ICT solutions and innovative logistics. We are currently implementing several high-profile projects such as automated warehousing of our own digitizing logistics computer program, B&S International Technology (BiT) and further expansion of our fully automated storage system Autostore.
AutoStore is an innovative storage system and we take pride in being one of the first companies in Europe to have the system in our warehouse. The system is fully automated and enables us to store products more efficiently, which in turn enables us to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs. Furthermore, we have been able to reduce our storage space by 75% and speed up our order preparation process by a factor of four, resulting in quicker more cost efficient and flexible delivery for our customers as well as enabling us to serve new clients in different business models.
BiT is our cutting-edge ERP platform which makes it possible for us to be more efficient in our core activities, such as fast delivery, effective goods flow, optimal inventory management and accurate customs and excise declaration. Our platform has a short delivery time for new functionalities, which enables us to respond quickly to market opportunities. The synergy of our ICT and logistics results in a unique supply chain process that is a core element of our company’s DNA.
Ensuring full compliance in all stages of the business process is standard procedure at HTG. All operating divisions within HTG that deal with customs matters are AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certified. Our company takes pride in the fact that it runs one of the European Union’s most extensive bonded warehouses and adheres to compliance processes and procedures that are certified to meet the most stringent standards. Through our AEO status and our strict adherence to compliance processes we are able to process goods safely and efficiently resulting in quicker and more reliant lead times to our customers.
We are committed to ten universally acknowledged values in the areas of human rights, labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption. For our business development, we seek sustainable solutions.
The HTG’s corporate code of conduct is a sustainable and strong pillar through which HTG has earned the confidence and trust of our business partners. Our corporate code of conduct requires that all of our employees comply with the legislation and regulations of the countries in which we operate. At the same time, we expect integrity and reliability from all our business partners, suppliers and clients.
To prevent corruption, fraud, bribery and other unethical behavior, HTG has intensified its activities aimed at gaining a better understanding of our customers and suppliers, the so-called Know Your Relation (KYR) procedure. All new business relations are checked against the OFAC and the EU Sanctions lists.
We believe that our people are our greatest asset, so we constantly invest in their personal development.
We employ an international team of eager and dedicated professionals who work together to give our clients the right products at the best possible price with the highest possible level of service. Upon joining the company, employees receive a training program focusing on all aspects of international distribution. For high potentials, we offer language courses, management courses and full university programs.
Our strategic alliances with universities of applied sciences or polytechnic universities throughout the Netherlands create career and education opportunities for students. By offering them extensive internships and starter positions, we help them take their first steps in their careers. With our ongoing commitment to workshops, guest lectures and conferences for (applied) universities we aim to contribute to the education level of the future.
